Northern Colorado Youth Hockey (NCYH) is a non-profit youth ice hockey organization that operates out of the Northern Colorado Ice Center (NoCo) in Fort Collins, CO. Edora Pool Ice Center (EPIC) in Fort Collins, CO is also utilized for both practices and games.

NCYH is a charter member of the premier competitive youth hockey league in Colorado known as the Rocky Mountian Hockey Federation (RMHF) which is under the Colorado Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). NCYH is also a member of the Colorado Recreational Hockey League (CRHL) for all rec/house teams.


Teams vary from level to level in number of games played, in-state and out-of-state travel, and practice frequency. For the 2022-2023 season NCYH was comprised of more than 550 members and offered 14 travel teams, 16 recreational teams, 4 skill levels within the U8 division and 2 U8 travel teams.

In 2007 NCYH purchased the Providence Ice Center with the help of the Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League (CHL) and merged with their membership to create an association that strives to provide the best possible hockey for all of Northern Colorado. During this merger NCYH changed its mascot from the Grizzlies to the Junior Eagles.

 

NCYH offers youth hockey programs for beginners and experience players alike from the ages of 4 years old to years old. Programs include: 

Under 8 Program (U8) -- Early October to mid-March

  • In-House or Recreational (Learn to Play)
  • Birth Years 2015 or Younger*
  • Under 8 "Travel" -- Early November to March




Colorado Recreational Hockey League (CRHL)

  • In-House or Recreational League Play
  • Birth Years 2005-2014*


Rocky Mountain Hockey Federation (RMHF)

  • Non-Tier Travel ("AA" / "A" / "B" levels)
  • Birth Years 2005-2014*
  • Tier Travel ("AA" or nationally recognized levels)
